Payments and Refunds Policy

This Payments and Refunds Policy describes Marvalero’s terms for payment handling, subscription processing, and refunds for U.S. users. By using Marvalero, users agree to these terms, governed by relevant U.S. laws, including the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) and state laws.
1. Payment Processing and Subscription Payments

Third-Party Payment Gateway: Marvalero uses Stripe for secure processing of all payments, including consumer and merchant transactions, as well as salon subscription payments. The payment gateway provider is PCI-DSS compliant, ensuring protection of sensitive financial data.

Subscription Payments and Terms:

Automatic Renewal: Marvalero’s subscription plans for salons automatically renew at the end of each billing period. By subscribing, users consent to automatic charges per billing cycle.

Setup of Recurring Payments: Users are prompted to save payment information with our payment provider to facilitate recurring billing.

Cancellation Policy: Users may cancel subscriptions at any time through their Marvalero dashboard. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and Marvalero will not issue refunds for unused portions of the subscription.

2. Data Privacy and Security

Data Protection: Payment data is handled exclusively by our U.S. payment gateway provider in compliance with U.S. federal and state privacy standards, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for Californian users. Marvalero does not have access to users' sensitive financial data.

Data Retention: Transaction history, excluding sensitive details, is retained by Marvalero for support purposes. Users can request data deletion per Marvalero’s Data Retention and Deletion Policy.
3. Refunds and Cancellations

Merchant Refund Policy: Each business on Marvalero sets its own refund policy. Users are responsible for reviewing a salon’s refund terms before completing a purchase, as Marvalero cannot alter these policies.

Refund Requests for Subscriptions:

Refunds are not offered for partially used subscription terms. Marvalero may consider one-time refunds at its sole discretion in the case of billing errors.

Users must contact Marvalero Support within seven days of a billing error to request a refund.

Refund Processing Timeline: Approved refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear, depending on the financial institution and payment gateway.
4. Disputes and Chargebacks

Resolution of Disputes: Marvalero recommends direct resolution of disputes with salons or businesses. Marvalero may assist with documentation but is not liable for merchant refund policies.

Chargebacks: Chargebacks should be initiated only if resolution efforts have failed. Users must notify Marvalero before filing a chargeback to allow for any possible mediation.
Compliance and Updates
Marvalero reserves the right to update this policy to comply with regulatory changes or to reflect changes in operational practices. Users will be notified via email or platform alerts for any significant changes.
